Mat died today. On Valentine's Day, of all the days.
We're all in shock despite knowing this would happen, but wanted you to know.
The funeral will be Saturday.

Mat's riding a motorcycle to parts unknown, somewhere we can't go yet. I am glad he had time to make his goodbyes and spend his days with you and the boys.
Mat was beautiful. I could see the light of life in his eyes when I last visited him despite the frailty of his failing flesh. He died with the dignity, courage and acceptance I hope to have when that day comes. I’ll miss him. I will remember him.
